"Making sense of the child´s lived experience in cases of neglect"

Other experience / research interests

I am a social researcher with a background in research with children and families. I have experience of primary research and programme evaluation in social work, health, educational and community settings. My research interests include child protection, family support, parenting and domestic violence.

I have previously worked at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) in the School of Social Work on a project looking at the police and children´ services´ response to families experiencing domestic violence, which was funded by the NSPCC. I have also worked on programme evaluations at the Maternal Infant Nurture and Nutrition Unit at UCLan, the Mother and Infant Research Unit, University of York and the Social Policy Research Unit, University of York. I have also worked at Young People in Focus (previously TSA), an applied research charity and Research And Data Services Ltd, an independent research consultancy.
