Call for papers

The organising committee invites submissions for our annual social science conference, under the encompassing theme of "Translation and Transformation". We welcome proposals from social-scientists-in-training that reflect on this theme (however they may chose to interpret it) and hope to encourage debate on some of the following issues:

  • glocalisation
  • policy, regulation & governance
  • insectionality, identity and boundaries
  • communication and representation
  • method and truth/translation
  • (em)powerment / participation
  • belief
  • practice(s)

The PGR social science conference welcomes papers and posters that are aimed at exploring your research to date. We encourage papers to be innovative in their delivery, organization and range of topics. Individual abstracts and posters should emphasize how they will benefit other doctoral students.

We will provide refreshments and lunch on the day. Places are limited.

To submit an abstract please follow this link. If you have any issues or would like further information please contact pgr-conf.scs@sheffield.ac.uk
