How To Find Us
The Edge is situated at Endcliffe Village, Sheffield, S10 3ED.
Please download the pdf 'The Edge Map', which contains detailed instructions of how to get to the edge by car and public transport, see link on the right hand side.
You can also find travel advice and Sheffield/surrounding area maps on the right hand link. The Edge is on the 'Central and West Sheffield' map.
By Ferry from Europe
P&O Ferries (http://www.poferries.com/) sail from Europoort (Rotterdam, The Netherlands) or Zeebrugge (Belgium) to Hull, from where it's a very straightforward 1.5 hours drive to Sheffield: from King Georges Dock in Hull, straight through Hull on the A63 which becomes M62, then M18, then M1, where it merges with the rest of the 'By Car from the north' description below. There is also a regular bus service to/from King Georges Dock to Hull Railway Station, where you can get a train direct to Sheffield. The train journey is around 1.5 hours.
If you travel by Ferry from Holland/West Germany/Belgium and share a car/cabin with 2 or more people it often works out cheaper (and much more fun/relaxing) than flying.
Please see right hand 'See Also' link for travel advice by air.
From the north, south and east (M1, M18)
Approach Sheffield on the M1 and leave the motorway at Junction 33, following the City Centre signs along the dual carriageway A630/A57/A61 Parkway for approximately 10 minutes. At Park Square move into the second lane and take the third exit sign posted A61(S), along Sheaf Street. Following the Ring Road and University signs, turn right onto St Mary’s Road/A61. At the roundabout go straight on. Follow the signs to the ring road and continue straight on as far as Brook Hill roundabout and take the first exit (Western Bank). Continue for about one mile, past the main University campus and the Children’s Hospital. Go straight on at all the traffic lights, and continue ahead into Fulwood Road. The Endcliffe Village will be signposted and you should turn left onto Endcliffe Crescent.
From the west (A57 Snake Pass)
Follow the ‘City Centre’ signs. About 300 metres after the BP filling station, turn right into Shore Lane. At the bottom, turn left and take the first right onto Endcliffe Crescent. The Endcliffe Village is about 100 metres on your right.
From Sheffield Train Station and the City Centre
Sheffield is at the heart of the railway network. Regular services operate between Sheffield and London St Pancras (2 ¼ hours), Birmingham (1 ¼ hours), Leeds (1 hour), Manchester (1 hour) and Nottingham (1 hour). The Sheffield bus interchange is a short walk away from the train station.
The Endcliffe Village is well served by public transport with frequent bus services to and from the City Centre. For more information and timetables, visit www.travelsouthyorkshire.com. Please note, the 120 'Stagecoach' bus does NOT go to Fulwood Road. Please take the 120 'First' bus.
There are taxi ranks at the Railway Station and the City Hall. The journey to The Edge can take up to 20 minutes at busy times and you can expect to pay around £8.
