Please DO NOT travel to 301 Academic Skills Centre if you are booked on for a workshop.

Why should I attend?

The academic skills workshops are open to all students regardless of your year of study. Attending the workshops can help you improve your study skills and develop your academic technique. Most workshops contain a mixture of tutor presentation and small group activities where you'll have a chance to chat to other students from different disciplines and year groups.

Do I need to book?

Booking is strongly recommended to guarantee a place although it is also possible to just turn up on the day. If there's space, we will accommodate you where possible. Please remember to cancel your booking if you can no longer attend so that we can offer your place to students on the waiting list. Attendance at Study Skills, MASH and Library Information and Digital Literacy workshops can be formally recognised by The Academic Skills Certificate. The certificate is designed to help you use your experience gained from our academic skills workshops to demonstrate a commitment to enhancing the skills required for you to succeed. It will also help you to learn more about yourself and reflect on your strengths.
