DON'T BRING YOUR MOBILE PHONE! Please leave your mobile phone at home or somewhere safe. If you bring it to an exam, you should be aware of the following:
- The University of Sheffield accepts no responsibilities for any loss or damage to your mobile phone if it is brought into the examination hall or left in the cloakroom. You will be unable to claim for it from the University if it is lost or damaged.
- You will have to switch it off and place it in the envelope provided on your desk
- If you do not switch off your mobile phone and place it in the envelope provided and it rings or vibrates, or is found on your desk or amongst your belongings, it will be confiscated until such time that it can be checked that it does not hold unauthorised material. This may cause a delay in returning it to you of at least 24 hours.
A MOBILE PHONE IS POTENTIALLY A METHOD OF STORING UNAUTHORISED MATERIAL (General Regulations to Examinations, Appendix IV.3, University Regulations relating to Examinations)
A MOBILE PHONE IS POTENTIALLY A DISRUPTION TO OTHER CANDIDATES.
