University of Sheffield Nursery Subsidy 

This page explains the subsidy that is available for students who have children at the University of Sheffield Students’ Union Nursery.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for the nursery subsidy support from the University you must meet all of the criteria below:

  • Be fully registered.
  • Have a household income of £25,000 or less.
  • Have a child or children who have a place at the University of Sheffield Students’ Union Children’s Services Nursery.

Sibling discount - Student families who qualify for a subsidy will receive a further 10% sibling discount for additional children also attending the nursery.

How to apply

1. Complete the application form below:

A paper application form is also available. Please contact us if you would prefer to complete a paper application form.

2. Attach all of the following documents to your application form:

  • Three months most recent consecutive up to date bank statements listing transactions for each account you and/or your partner hold.
  • Evidence of income for you/your partner e.g. last 3 months wage-slips, evidence of scholarship.
  • Evidence of benefits for you/your partner e.g. Housing Benefit letter, Child Tax Credit Statement.
  • Evidence of additional support from the University e.g. scholarship or hardship funds

3. You will be notified of the outcome of your application within 15 working days of submitting your complete application.
