Our Global Campus Ambassadors will be at all the events to help introduce people to each other, so don't be afraid to show up on your own :)

Wednesday 10th April 2019, 16:00-17:00 Local History Walk From the moment they were first occupied in the early 1960s, the high-rise apartments at Park Hill have been one of Sheffield's most iconic landmarks. Designed in response to post-war slum clearances, the brutalist architecture of these "streets in the sky" divided opinion from the start. To some, the flats were the high-point of modern social housing, to others they epitomised the alienation that comes with urban living. Join us as we explore the site and its historical and social significance and end up with an optional drink at the Old Queen's Head - the oldest building in the city, dating back to the mid 1400s.

Meet outside Sheffield train station in time for departure at 4pm.
