Managing Immigration Issues
We know that UK immigration regulations can be complex and change frequently. It can be difficult for you to be sure that you are complying with UKVI requirements and that you are doing the right thing to protect your immigration status in the UK.
We’ve included some answers to some of our most frequently asked questions regarding visa issues below.
|What should I do if my visa application is refused?||
If your visa application is refused, you must seek advice from International Student Support immediately. They can advise you whether you are eligible to submit an administrative review. Please have a look at the following webpages before contacting an Immigration Adviser.

|What should I do if I have been granted insufficient Leave to Remain in the UK, or if my visa conditions are incorrect?||
If you applied for entry clearance outside the UK and your visa has been issued incorrectly (eg. wrong conditions, wrong length of leave) you should contact the British embassy where you applied immediately and ask for the error to be rectified before travelling to the UK.
If you notice the error after travelling to the UK and you have the full visa in your passport (vignette), please see our Visa Correction Scheme webpages. Alternatively, if you have a BRP card, please see how to report the error to UKVI.
If you made the visa application in the UK and you were granted insufficient leave or were issued with the wrong conditions (eg. wrong working hours), you might be eligible to submit an application for a administrative review
More information about visa problems both inside and outside the UK can be found on the UKCISA website.
