Signposting Our Support
“Signposting Our Support” is a signposting service that acts as a stepping stone to help and support by encouraging and guiding the student to the most appropriate support from the most relevant service.
You may want to direct your student to us if you are unsure which specific support service to refer them to.
“Signposting Our Support” is a collaborative initiative lead by SSiD and involving Student Support and Guidance and other support services. The brand has several strands including; web-based resources, road-shows and support in the context of a customer focussed one-stop-shop.
The purpose of "Signposting Our Support" is to signpost students, coming to SSiD or using the website, to the relevant suport service in the University.
Issues students tend to present with include:

- Exam worries
- Accommodation worries
- Acadeic worries
- Bullying & Harassment
- Safety and security
- Hate Crimes
- Drugs and Alcohol
- Immigration worries
- Worries about another students
- Thinking of withdrawing from the University
