Understanding and Supporting Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Trans (LGBT+) Students
An online training course looking at the experiences and issues faced by LGBT+ students, and how University staff can assist and support them. This training has been developed in partnership with the Students' Union and the LGBT+ Committee and is relevant for all University staff.
The course aims to:
- Identify and explain key concepts and key words surrounding sexualities and gender identities
- Examine and discuss the issues that LGBT+ students face whilst at University
- Highlight and promote the specific support and representation available to LGBT+ students provided by the University and the Students' Union and to outline other support services that may be useful/appropriate for LGBT+ students
The course should take up to 20 minutes to complete.

Audience: All staff
Duration: up to 20 minutes, includes a video presentation of 13 mins 50.
