We are proud that McLaren was attracted to our region by our AMRC's world-leading research, our investments in facilities and our established partnerships with industry. Just yards away from McLaren's new centre we also have the AMRC Training Centre, which is training McLaren's first degree apprentices in the Sheffield City Region.”

The San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment

We have recently signed the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA), which seeks to improve how scientific research is evaluated. DORA is a worldwide initiative, which can be supported by both individuals and institutions, funders and publishers. It recognises that the evaluation of scholarly and research outputs should be based on the merits of those individual outputs, rather than on journal-level metrics such as journal impact factor.

What does the declaration mean for our University?
