Leadership changes at our Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC)

Farewell to Professor Keith Ridgway, Adrian Allen and John Baragwanath, who have stepped down from their roles at the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC).

Professor Keith Ridgway, Executive Dean of the AMRC, decided to take partial retirement at the end of October. Adrian Allen and John Baragwanath, Executive Directors of the AMRC, have decided it is the right time to step down from their roles as the AMRC moves into a new chapter.

Keith, Adrian and John have played a pivotal role in the development and success of the AMRC over many years. The whole of the University of Sheffield, and indeed the city region, owes them all a huge thanks for the contribution they have made in developing a research and development ecosystem that has helped to transform the UK's manufacturing sector by improving processes, materials and skills. It is a testament to their hard work, innovation and creativity that the University of Sheffield AMRC has forged a truly global reputation for advanced manufacturing translational research and development.

The AMRC is an extremely important part of our University and our experienced senior management team will be driving forward a number of exciting projects in the future.
