More than 1,200 visitors (applicants and their supporters) are expected to attend Applicant Open Days this week and staff from across the University are playing their part in ensuring it all goes smoothly.
Vice-President for Education, Professor Wyn Morgan, says: “I would like to extend my personal thanks to all the colleagues who support these events. We want to showcase the University and the opportunities we can offer students. Potential students will also be able to see how dedicated our staff are to their education.
I'm extremely conscious of, and grateful for, all the hard work that colleagues are putting in to make a success of this year's recruitment. Thank you for being great ambassadors for the University.”
For staff who are supporting Applicant Open Days, there will be an informal session with Wyn over coffee and cake on Monday 4 December. This is an opportunity to say thanks as well as to capture the feedback and views of everyone involved.
Changing our approach to open days is an iterative process so we want to ensure we can respond and adjust our approach if needed and your feedback will play an important part in this.
This informal session will be held at 10.30am in the Discovery Rooms (Level 5 of the Students' Union). It will be an opportunity to reflect on the first of these events, but also to say thank you to all staff involved for your efforts and commitment. Please reserve your place here.
