Opportunities for our leaders
Did you know that as part of our Sheffield Leader: Impact offering we also offer, in partnership with our Management School, an MBA in Senior Leadership and an MSc in Management and Strategic Leadership?
As 2020 gets underway, we are delighted to welcome back our first cohort who are undertaking an MBA in Senior Leadership. Whilst they are entering their second year, we have a further two cohorts of University staff who will be starting their studies in the MSc in Management and Strategic Leadership.
Forming part of the University’s investment in leadership development, we are certain that through these programmes we will see beneficial impacts locally as well as across the wider University.
We are keen to continue to offer these fantastic opportunities and we are pleased to announce that in 2020 we will again be offering an MBA and an MSc programme. The next MBA cohort will start in September 2020, followed by the MSc cohort in January 2021.
Eligibility criteria do apply and these include:
- Working a minimum of 30 hours per week
- Hold a 2:1 at undergraduate level in any subject, or have relevant experience
- Be in a leadership or management position that will allow you to display the required learning outcomes
- Completing the University nominations process
If you’re interested in this opportunity for yourself or for a member of your team, a taster session is being held by the Management School on Wednesday 5 February 2020.
Further information and details about the nominations process will be circulated in due course.
Apprenticeships take off! Have they taken off for you?
With over 100 apprentices employed across a number of faculties and professional services departments, we are really seeing the impact of apprenticeships in enhancing skills, knowledge and behaviours. We have newly recruited staff as well as existing colleagues undertaking apprenticeships ranging from Level 2 (GCSE equivalent) through to Level 7 (Masters level) across a range of disciplines.
