Campus roadworks – access to Firth Court

From Monday 24 April 2017, the next phase of roadworks on Western Bank flyover will affect level pedestrian access and vehicle access, to the front entrance of Firth Court.

Vehicles: The contraflow on the flyover will change direction from 24 April, meaning vehicles will have pull into the front entrance of Firth Court from the opposite end to usual i.e, coming up from Brookhill roundabout, the current exit route will become the way in, with vehicles leaving at the other end, closest to Weston Park.

Pedestrians: Watch out for traffic coming from this opposite direction to the front of Firth Court – particularly when you're coming up the steps from the concourse/Alfred Denny building, look left for cars coming in off Western Bank that way. Equally, when you're leaving the building, bear in mind the switched flow.

Level access for pedestrians to Firth Court: From the Octagon side of the flyover, you'll be able to go along that stretch of the pavement with the Octagon on your left. Then just cross over Clarkson St and then Western Bank to the Firth court side.

The pavement as you walk past the Arts Tower car park will be closed so level access will only be through Alfred Denny building on that side, where there are lifts available between levels if you can't access the steps.
