Group cycle rides for beginners in June

Estates and Facilities Management (EFM) and Pedal Ready, an organisation that provides cycle training across South Yorkshire, are hosting three group bike rides from the Arts Tower in June.

These routes, which are a mixture of road and cycle tracks, are ideal if you can cycle but are keen to improve. Two Pedal Ready ride leaders will offer you advice along the route. You can book your place using the Juice portal, accessible through MUSE.

The following rides are available to book:

  • Arts Tower to Endcliffe Park, four-mile round trip on 6 June (12.30 to 13.30)
  • Arts Tower to Blackburn Meadows, 15-mile round trip on 13 June (16:30 to 18:00)
  • Arts Tower to Forge Dam, 7.5-mile round trip on 20 June (16:30 to 18:00)

You can bring your own bike, or email Darren Hardwick (d.hardwick@sheffield.ac.uk) if you would like to borrow one. However, please bring your own helmet as we are unable to provide these.

If you are a beginner cyclist that wants to start going a little bit further, these are ideal supervised taster rides. Don't forget to book your space via the Juice portal.
