Who will Rahul crown hedgehog bake winner?

This week is Hedgehog Awareness Week and we've had great engagement including requests for resources from local primary schools, and some fantastic hedgehog-themed bakes.

Hedgehog Awareness Week is almost over and we’re pleased to report some really positive engagement with our activities so far. Many of you have been sharing your results with us via social media and we’ve seen some excellent hedgehog houses, highways and appropriately prickly culinary innovations.

In addition to this, we have also had requests for our resources from seven local primary schools, with some fantastic feedback received. Among these, Gosha Khalil, Year 6 Teacher at Woodseats Primary, was in touch to let us know that our activities pages were ‘brilliant’ with ‘so many things to do’ and suggested that these would help to keep pupils busy well after awareness week has finished. Well done to our Hedgehog Friendly Campus Group for creating such a fun and useful resource which is clearly already having a great impact!

Lastly, our hedgehog-themed baking competition closes at 12 noon today. We have had a truly amazing response with some very appetising and artistic entries so far, and would like to thank everyone that has taken part for helping to celebrate this week and raise the profile of hedgehogs in such a fun and creative way. Rahul will certainly have his work cut out for him but is all set to rise to the challenge as our esteemed judge, with details of the winner to be announced early next week. Good luck!
