Showcase your research in 5 minutes with Ignite Academy

Ignite AcademyThe team behind Ignite Academy are looking for anyone involved in any kind of research at the University who can 'enlighten us, but make it quick'!

Following on from the successful event last year and in association with Festival of the Mind, Ignite Academy is returning this September, and is looking for speakers to give five minute rapid-fire presentations.

This event will take place on 20 September in the Crucible Theatre Adelphi Room from 6.30pm and is a public speaking forum filled with five minute talks from all corners of our University . It aims to make visible our research, and our researchers, to the people of Sheffield.

The theme of this event is 'A better tomorrow -- where could you fit in?'.  The focus of Ignite Academy is about learning new things and sharing the latest big ideas generated by our dedicated researchers. It's a chance to hear about new and exciting breakthroughs, hear how our work impacts on the world around us, and see how creative research can be. All in the five minute Ignite Academy format!

It's a free event, a friendly audience and a relaxed atmosphere, and a chance to also learn something in a hurry!
