Successful Knowledge Exchange projects awarded funding

Sixteen projects from across three faculties (Engineering, Science and Medicine, Dentistry & Health) have recently been awarded Knowledge Exchange (KE) funding from the EPSRC-funded Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) following a competitive bidding and selection process.

These KE funding awards are designed to accelerate the impact from the University’s EPSRC-funded research and can be used to develop partnerships, support initial activities (eg. mini-projects) or scale-up ambitious plans.

Successful projects ranged from using robotics in distance learning, understanding the co-benefits of own grown food through to innovative medical devices.

Well done to all the successful projects and keep a lookout for details of future KE funding opportunities.

The next available are KE scholarships for EPSRC-funded PGR students submitting their thesis in the coming months. The application deadline is 31 July 2020.
