Invitation from the Vice-Chancellor
Invitation to a speech by Jo Johnson MP, Minister for Universities and Science, Thursday 16 July 2015
I am delighted that the Minister for Universities and Science, Jo Johnson MP, will be visiting our University tomorrow morning to deliver his first major speech on science and innovation.
The Minister will be at the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) where he will set out his views on the future of science and innovation across the UK, and next steps for driving productivity and growth in all parts of the country. He will also tour the AMRC Factory of the Future, Nuclear AMRC, Design and Prototype Centre and Apprentice Training Centre.
Mr Johnson, MP, will speak at approximately 11am to a nationally invited audience, however I am keen that as many colleagues as possible are also able to attend; staff who wish to hear the speech or who would like to visit the AMRC are welcome to do so. The event will also feature exhibits on Quantum Light and Glaciers on Everest which feature at the Royal Society Summer Exhibition.
Please arrive at the AMRC Factory of the Future building entrance and be seated by 10.45am. The full address is:
