Share your story for International Women’s Day
To celebrate International Women's Day we'd like to share your stories showcasing how you're building an equal world.
Sunday 8 March 2020 marks International Women’s Day a global celebration of the achievements of women and a call to action for accelerating women’s equality. This year’s theme is #EachforEqual, but gender equality is not just the responsibility of women.
We would like to take this opportunity to share your stories and experiences of progressing gender equality.
If you have a story to share, please submit up to 150 words telling us how you’re building an equal world.
It goes without saying that we’d love to hear from all gender identities, indeed, progressing gender balance relies on us all.
Send your stories to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 21 February 2020, or earlier if you can, along with a good quality photo of yourself.
We hope you understand that we will try our best to respond to everyone and apologies in advance if we cannot; and that we reserve the right to edit content without altering the fundamental meaning or perspective of your comment.
Events for International Women's Day
Friday 6 March 2020
Our International Women’s Day (IWD) event will launch some new areas of work to help ensure that all staff get the same opportunities to flourish regardless of age, time-of-life changes, gender and/or family circumstance. We hope to bring the conversation into the open and reduce bias but there will be no expectation or obligation to share personal circumstances or experiences. You are welcome to attend the whole event or just part of it. The sessions are relevant to staff with lived experience of – or an interest in – these areas, those with equality diversity & inclusion roles and anyone with line management responsibilities. Come along and find out more. Open to staff of any gender, places are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
