New website for the National Technician Development Centre
The new website for the National Technician Development Centre, based at our University, has launched. The Centre was set up following £1.125 million in funding including from the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) and was officially opened by Lord Sainsbury in February this year.
The role of the Centre is to provide universities across the country with access to information, expertise and tools to enable them to create a sustainable future for their technical staff and services.
The website includes information on the Centre as well as the HEI Technical Resources Toolkit, which was developed under the Sheffield HEFCE Catalyst ‘Technical Development and Modernisation’ (TDM) Project.
For further information, please contact the Centre on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our University has also recently signed up to the Science Council’s ‘Technician Commitment’ and you can see information on how the University will fulfill its Commitment here.
