New data reporting service to replace Reportal

The University’s Data Warehouse Project team is delighted to announce the launch of the University’s new Reporting Service.

The Reporting Service will be live from Monday 15 June and will replace our current reporting service Reportal - however existing reports will still be accessible via the new system.

The new service aims to support the University’s core academic mission by enabling colleagues to access information that will help evidence-based management decision making. The service does this by providing:

  • Easy access to management information
  • Reporting on external datasets mapped to the University's faculty and department structures
  • Visual representations of data

The Reporting Service is developed and coordinated by the Data Warehouse Project team based in Planning and Insight. The service uses Power BI visualisation software and is supported by specialist analysts from across Professional Services.

Please note: If you are not using a YoYo desktop/laptop, you will need to connect to the University’s VPN to access the service.

What reporting range is available?

An initial range of reporting is currently available which will be complemented by reports using internal student data following the implementation of SITS, the new student system. Additional reports will be added to the service throughout the year.
