New voicemail system - please read, action needed

  • In the next few weeks we will be replacing the current Audix voicemail with a new system called Messenger+
  • Voicemail users will need to complete a short setup process including choosing a new PIN and recording a personal greeting
  • Dates for moving to the new system will be based on your extension number

Bella Abrams, Director of Information Technology, introduces the new system and explains what you need to do:

"In the next few weeks we will be replacing the current Audix voicemail with a new system called Messenger+. If you are a current user of voicemail, your phone will automatically start sending calls to your new Messenger+ account instead of Audix from the go live dates outlined below.

"Voicemail users will need to complete a short setup process including choosing a new PIN and recording a personal greeting.

"Dates for moving to the new system will be based on your extension number. Ideally you would complete the setup process before your go live date but it can be done at any time after your account has been created. Please see the key dates below for the date on which your Messenger+ account will become accessible and can be setup.

"Please note that messages on Audix will not be moved across to your Messenger+ account. University provided mobile telephones will not be affected by the change.

"Due to increased use on the go live dates, you may get a busy tone for a short period. If this is the case please wait a few minutes and redial.

"If you have any questions please contact your Telephone Liaison Officer (TLO) in the first instance.

"Alternatively you can contact the CiCS helpdesk on x21111 or email: helpdesk@sheffield.ac.uk."

How to complete the setup process:

To access Messenger+ dial 20022 (internal), 0114 222 0022 (external). The system will guide you through the process.
