Thank you to our Open Campus organisers
We’d like to say a big thank you to all our colleagues who have been involved in organising our Open Campus event, coming up on Saturday 29 April.
We’re celebrating the fact that back in March this year, we were voted number one in the Russell Group for student experience for the fourth year running. Our Students’ Union was also voted number one in the UK for the ninth year in a row.
Thank you to everyone involved in organising this day. Your quick work to support recruitment of our next undergraduate intake is much appreciated.
Professor Wyn Morgan, Vice-President for Education
Attendees will include offer-holders who have not yet made a decision on their first choice university, students who have confirmed Sheffield as their firm or insurance choice, as well as those who have not yet completed their applications.
Colleagues from across campus are collaborating to organise departmental talks, interactive exhibitions, information hubs and tours.
Professor Wyn Morgan, Vice-President for Education, said: “Thank you to everyone involved in organising this day. Your quick work to support recruitment of our next undergraduate intake is much appreciated. Registrations for Open Campus are looking strong and I am confident that the day will be a fantastic celebration of student life in Sheffield. I hope staff and students attending will enjoy the celebrations.”
Postgraduate open day, 28 April 2017
On Friday 28 April we are also hosting a postgraduate (PG) open day. We'll be showcasing PG profiles on #shefunilife in the run up. If you have interesting PG related activities or social media campaigns going on in your area this week which you think it would be nice for us to share, please email Alice Thomas.
Promotion of the PG 100+Scholarships will continue on social media, overlapping the open days and into the following week, the deadline being 15 May 2017.
The recruitment team is also collating Postgraduate Taught (PGT) student profiles for use in the promotion of scholarships, open days and other general recruitment activities. If you have any profiles or know any students in your area who would be happy to provide one, then please email Jo Thompson.
