Join a focus group to give your feedback on people development

During the recent University-wide conversation to seek your views on a proposed new vision and strategy for our University, you provided some really useful feedback about development opportunities for individuals, teams and managers.

We would like to learn more about the ideas you had and better understand what you need for these areas of development.

To share your ideas, please come along to one of our upcoming focus groups; they’re open to all staff. This is an opportunity to share your thoughts on how we deliver and promote individual, team and management development.

The focus groups are running at the following dates and times:

  • Wednesday 12 February 2020, 12.30pm – 1.30pm, Jessop Building
  • Tuesday 18 February 12.30pm – 1.30pm. Hicks Building
  • Wednesday 26 February 12.30pm – 1.30pm, Arts Tower

We’re also working with colleagues in IT Services (CiCS) to look at ways to shape the future of our learning management systems for development opportunities, and will be in touch with you soon to seek your views on this.

People Development team

The People Development team is one of a number of development providers across the University. We work with Think Ahead (for researchers), Elevate (for staff who teach) Support the Supporters (for staff who interact with students), as well as other mandatory and optional offers from areas including health and safety, the library, and equality, diversity and inclusion.
