Help us extend a warm welcome to top talent from around the world

On 7 November, we’re hosting a special celebration evening to officially welcome our talented new scholarship winners to the University.

The event will bring together more than 250 winners who are being supported by scholarship schemes as they embark on their studies across the University.

The evening will offer these new scholars a chance to meet one another, as well as introducing them to some of the dedicated and supportive staff involved in the scholarship processes and recruitment activities.

With nearly half of our scholarship winners international students, it’s also a chance to welcome all the scholars into the University’s global family, which is made up of 27,000 of the brightest students from more than 140 countries.

We’re welcoming a range of scholars, both domestic and international on Undergraduate, Taught Postgraduate and MBA programmes. Our winners are embarking on courses spanning all five faculties.

About scholarships at the University

This year, the University has awarded over 400 scholarships as part of its ongoing commitment to scholarship provision. Amongst the schemes are Sheffield Postgraduate Scholarships, International Merit Scholarships and the Undergraduate Alumni Fund Scholarships.

As well as rewarding academic merit, these schemes aim to increase inclusion and drive up access to higher education amongst students from underrepresented groups.
