Secondment opportunity: Curriculum Workstream Lead

Student Lifecycle Project

Could you play a leading role in the delivery of a major project that seeks to improve the student experience?

The Student Lifecycle Project is currently advertising a Curriculum Workstream Lead secondment opportunity and is looking for someone with great leadership and communication skills, the ability to prioritise effectively and the confidence to make difficult decisions in a fast-paced environment.

The role is not technical in nature and does not require a curriculum specialist; it is focused on leading a team and ensuring that what is being developed will work well for staff and students at the University through working closely with multiple stakeholders. Those already seconded into Workstream Lead roles within the Student Lifecycle Project include managers and officers from a variety of professional services departments and department managers from academic departments.

This role is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to lead a team that is reviewing the way services are delivered, supporting the enhancement of the student experience and future-proofing provision through the development of effective curriculum structures and management processes. The programme is mid-way through implementation and your role will be to maintain momentum in the Curriculum Workstream and ensure delivery in 2020.

The post is available on a secondment basis, subject to approval from your current line manager:

Job title: Curriculum Workstream Lead
Grade and salary: Grade 8, £40,792 to £48,677
Working commitment: Full-time, fixed-term secondment until 30 October 2020

If you are excited at the prospect of working as part of a team on an important project for the University, we'd love to hear from you. For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Al Carlile, Programme Director on 0114 2227063.
