As a University, the safety of our staff and students is of paramount important to us and we work hard to ensure that we keep our whole University community safe, by creating a warm and welcoming environment, and keeping crime levels to a minimum.
We have recently applied for a Secured Environments Accreditation which we hope will give us external recognition of the way we work together to protect the whole University community . This Accreditation was developed through the partnership of Police Crime Prevention Initiatives (Police CPI) and Perpetuity Research and Consultancy International (PRCI), a specialist in community safety, crime risk management & security management.
If we achieve the Accreditation, we will be the first University in the North to do so across our numerous sites - the main campus, residences and the AMRC.
But to achieve this important seal of approval, we need staff to get involved! An audit will be undertaken to ensure we meet the criteria and part of this audit is a staff survey. The survey will only take around five minutes of your time but every completed survey will count towards helping us achieve the response we need for the Accreditation - so please take the survey and give your feedback.
This survey is written and managed by PRCI and your responses will go directly to PRCI.
