Share your story for International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day is coming up on 8 March 2019 and we’d really like to take this opportunity to share your stories and experiences of progressing gender equality.

The focus for this year's International Women's Day is collective action and shared responsibility for driving a gender-balanced world.

If you have a story to share, please submit up to 150 words telling us how you’ve been involved in progressing gender equality. This could be any element of your life that impacts on your time at the University. You may also want to include a hope/wish/idea/ambition for the future and to complete the following sentence: For me, gender equality means…

It goes without saying that we’d love to hear from all gender identities, indeed, progressing gender balance relies on us all.

Send your stories to by 10am Monday 18 February 2019, or earlier if you can, along with a good quality photo of yourself.

We hope you understand that we will try our best to respond to everyone and apologies in advance if we cannot; and that we reserve the right to edit content without altering the fundamental meaning or perspective of your comment.

Thank you

Somer and Lindsey
