Sheffield recognised in two categories in Which? University’s student survey
We have scored highly in Which? University’s annual survey of over 8,000 students, and we have been voted top for our Students’ Union and nightlife.
The survey, conducted by Youthsight on behalf of Which? University, asked students to rate their universities on five different categories – student unions, nightlife, sports, politics, and creative scenes.
Sheffield Students’ Union joined Leeds, Cardiff and Loughborough as one of the top four Student Unions in the UK for the second year in a row.
The survey, which covered 127 universities and colleges in the UK, highlighted the large amount of sporting activities and societies available at our Students’ Union, as well as the extensive range of extracurricular activities on offer.
It was also praised for its levels of support for students and the standard of information available.
Our Students' Union has a longstanding reputation of success and earlier this year was also ranked best in the UK for the ninth year in a row by the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey 2017.
The survey also rated Sheffield highly for the city’s celebrated range of nightlife.
The nightlife category covered the different types of pubs, clubs and music venues near universities, and how they cater to a range of tastes.
