Calling all managers and supervisors - do you employ an amazing and outstanding student part time/casually whilst they study?

If you do then let them know what a great job they are doing by nominating them for the Student Employee of the Year Awards (SEOTY) 2019. This national competition is open to all students who work part-time whilst they study. By nominating your student(s) for SEOTY you can help them to stand out from the crowd. Your students can also nominate you as the Student Employer of the Year.

Make your nomination by 5pm, 29 March 2019

We are looking for exceptional students who have made a real contribution to your area of work. There are several categories to nominate in:

Best Team – new for 2019

This new category is a great addition to the SEOTY awards. In previous years we have seen fantastic teams being nominated and now it has its own category. Nominations in the past have centred around groups of part-time students who have shown excellent team working and communication skills.

Above and Beyond

This award recognises an outstanding student who has/is making a huge impact working in your department by going above and beyond on a regular basis.

Step Up to Leadership

This award recognises a student who has demonstrated leadership skills by taking responsibility for projects or departments etc. Perhaps they have been promoted, or they supervise other staff, provide training, take the initiative, or displaying accountability and creative thinking to leading the project.

Commercial Impact

This award recognises a student who has made a big commercial impact. This student will have increased profit, generated new business, developed an enterprising idea spotting new opportunities, engaged with new audiences, or introduced a money saving scheme.
