Upgrades to door access system
We will be upgrading the software and server for the door access system in campus buildings from 5 - 9 August 2019.
This system controls every entrance with access control across campus.
The new server, software and hardware will provide the University with improved stability, functionality and resilience.
At approximately 7pm on 8 August 2019 until 10am on 9 August 2019, the door controllers will be transferred. Whilst being transferred, up to a maximum of 16 doors may remain locked for up to 30 minutes. In the event of a fire alarm the doors will open as usual.
If you are in a building whilst the transfer is taking place and are unable to exit the building, please contact Security on x4444.
It will not be possible to set up new cards or door access during this time until 12 August 2019.
Please note that this work does not include the University residences which use a different system.
