Vice-Chancellor supports collaboration with business

Vice-Chancellor Professor Sir Keith Burnett has been asked to join the Leadership Council of the National Centre for Universities and Business (NCUB) which draws members at Vice-Chancellor and CEO level.

This appointment will create important opportunities to develop commercial partnerships and consider new approaches to joint ventures.

The National Centre for Universities and Business develops, supports and promotes world-class collaboration between universities and business across the UK. It is the only organisation bringing together universities and business to influence government and solve the country's challenges. Its aim is to find practical ways of harnessing the talent being developed in universities and the UK’s strength in ground-breaking research and development for the benefit of the nation’s economy.

They do this by bringing together key individuals from business and universities. Vice-Chancellors and business leaders sit together on the unique Leadership Council, which directs the work of the NCUB and leads university-business collaboration from the very highest level.
