National Postdoc Appreciation Week
National Postdoc Appreciation Week runs from 18 - 22 September. It has mainly been celebrated in the USA and Canada and provides an opportunity to recognise and showcase the significant contribution of postdoctoral researchers to teaching and research. It also serves to highlight the challenges they face and the need to offer support and guidance to help them succeed in their career, whether in academia or beyond.
At the University of Sheffield, we’d like to pay tribute during National Postdoc Appreciation week to our 800 highly dedicated research staff who contribute so much to our world-leading University. We want to raise awareness of the important role they play in research and how they support our mission to discover and understand.
To celebrate we are sharing case studies throughout the week of some of our pioneering research staff and their contribution to research at our University.
