The 2018 Staff Survey results
"I’m pleased to be able to share with you the summary results of the 2018 staff survey.
"Thank you to everyone for your useful and honest feedback; 5,000 of you (69 per cent of colleagues) responded to the survey between 22 October and 26 November 2018.
"Your feedback is invaluable and we will be able to use what you have told us to make positive changes and improvements to our University and working environment.
"Over the next month, the University Executive Board will be looking at how we turn your feedback into action. From the initial highlight report, we have already identified a number of key focus areas for improvement, including leadership and strategic direction; communications; and addressing the differences between responses from academic and professional colleagues.
"Since I started at the University, I have been impressed with the dedication and commitment of the people I have met. I am pleased to see that 92 per cent of the survey's respondents are proud to work for the University and 94 per cent would recommend the University as an excellent place to study.
"We have shared faculty and department reports with the faculty vice-presidents who will work together with heads of department and colleagues on the responses from specific areas. Please look out for communication on your department’s results in due course.
"Thank you again to everyone who took the time to complete the survey. I will keep you updated on next steps and the actions we are taking as a result of your feedback."
