The Student Communications Team are looking for talented students to share their experiences and insights about life at the University of Sheffield. If you’re an undergraduate or postgraduate studying at the University, or experiencing a year abroad, you can take part.
What do I have to do?
We’re looking for students willing to blog or vlog about their experiences as a student at the University of Sheffield and share them through our website: www.sheffield.ac.uk/students/blogs. You can talk about anything you want – good or bad, if it’s connected to your university experience then we want you to share it.
All we ask is that submit 6 blog posts by the end of Semester 2 in June – that’s roughly one a month.
What’s in it for me?
By submitting 6 posts over the course of the year, you will earn extra curricular credit towards your HEAR or Graduate Award, you will also get £10 in Amazon Vouchers each time you post, up to the value of £60 a year.
In addition, there’ll be opportunities for training and to learn new skills, as well as to build up your CV. Additionally, you will also be able to get involved in some exciting University-wide projects and initiatives.
What do the Student Communications Team do?
The Student Communications Team, based in SSiD, is responsible for coordinating the way in which the University communicates with students. We work with faculties and departments to develop exciting new projects and initiatives for the benefit of our students using a variety of communications tools including email, social media, film, animation and the web.
