Assess your skills with 301 and get your academic development off to a flying start
The 301 Skills Audit is a quick and simple tool to help you assess your current strengths across a range of academic and study skills, and identify priorities for development. The 301 Skills Audit signposts you towards appropriate events and resources personalised to you.
Using the Skills Audit will help you decide which of our Academic Skills Workshops to attend. Due to popular demand, additional sessions have been added for Semester 1.
We’ve added new workshop topics to our wide range of activities, with the first sessions taking place before Christmas. ‘Proofreading’ introduces some established proofreading techniques and provides opportunities for you to try them out and evaluate their usefulness. You will be equipped with the skills you need to independently improve the quality of your written work. ‘Dissertation Planning’ considers various elements of a dissertation project, including setting a research question, developing a literature review and putting together an effective research methodology.
These workshops are open to all students, both undergraduate and postgraduate.
All workshops take place at the 301 Student Skills and Development Centre located at 301 Glossop Road (opposite the Bar One entrance of the Students' Union) on various days and times to suit you.
Make sure you guarantee your place by booking now through the 301 website.
