Opportunities from the Careers Service
The Careers Service have got some exciting opportunities lined up for students interested in gaining recognition for their work experience, or using their academic skills to win placement opportunities with top graduate employers.
The ASET Student Competition is open to all students who have undertaken a year out placement.
To enter, all you have to do is write 900 words about your experience of your recent placement. ASET are looking for short essays which have the ability to inform others about the value of placement experience, clearly express the value of your learning and do so in a lively and enthusiastic manner.

The TARGETJobs Undergraduate of Year Awards 2015 celebrates the best and brightest undergraduates in the UK.
There are ten awards up for grabs to identify the top undergraduates in Law, Management, Construction Engineering and Design, Low Carbon Energy, Mathematics, Economics and
Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, and Languages. There are also two special awards: the ‘Future Business Leader’ open to students from any discipline, and the Female Undergraduate of the Year is open to the very best female undergraduates.
Each award is sponsored by a prominent graduate recruiter who provides a fantastic prize for the winner, including a paid internship, trips abroad and other exclusive opportunities.
