International students - apply for the Start-up Visa with your business ideas

Are you an International student (or recent graduate) from the University of Sheffield with an idea for a business start-up in the UK? Would you like to to stay in the UK after your degree to develop your business?

The Government has just introduced a new Start-up Visa for budding international entrepreneurs. This visa replaces the Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur scheme. The University can endorse students and recent graduates who have a credible, innovative and scalable business idea to remain in the UK for up to 2 years to develop and grow their business.

Start-up Visa Information Session

The University of Sheffield can endorse up to 10 graduates during April 2019 - March 2020 under the Start-up route. If you are considering applying for this scheme you must first attend our Start-up visa Information Session to assess whether your idea fits the criteria and that you are eligible to apply to join the scheme. This will be held on:

Date: Wednesday 5 June 2019
2-5pm (business start up advice and support from 2-4pm followed by guidance on the Start Up Visa scheme from 4-5pm)
