Our Students' Union is best in the UK for the 7th year running
Our Student's Union has been voted number one in the UK in the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey for the seventh year running.
Students from universities across the country took part in the annual survey which asks them to rate their student experience. This is the seventh time you've voted our Students' Union top in the 'Good Students' Union' category.
Students’ Union President, Yael Shafritz, said: “We're absolutely delighted that the Students' Union is rated number one for the seventh year in a row – that’s an incredible achievement!
“As well as great services and facilities we're proud to be a students' union that nurtures student innovation and leadership. Being rated the best in the whole country means, though, that we are also always looking to do more to create a better and more inclusive student community that Sheffield students love to be a part of."
The University of Sheffield has also come top in the accommodation category, joint first for social life and good community atmosphere, and joint second fotr good support and welfare.
Pat McGrath, Director of Accommodation and Commercial Services, said: “I’m delighted that we’ve been voted top for Accommodation two years running. This is testament to a talented team of colleagues who are dedicated to improving the student experience.”
Debora Green, Head of Student Support and Well-Being, added: "Student support staff at our University are totally committed to supporting our students, working alongside academic departments and our brilliant Students' Union. It's fantastic to see this validation of all the hard work that our teams put in every day of the year."
