Friday 28th of April, 12.30 - 1.45

Firth Hall, Firth Court, University of Sheffield

Kevin Oxley Presentation slides - Presenting . . . the facts

Our next TechNet event will be presented be our very own Kevin Oxley. Kevin has a wealth of presenting experience both internally at the UoS and more widely to external organisations as well as being Programme Director for leadership and management training courses across the HEI sector.

"Not everyone enjoys giving a presentation, either at work, as part of a job interview or speaking at an event such as an external seminar or even a wedding. I’m going to give you some tips and tricks and sprinkle some general magic to help you present with confidence and style. Some people are natural, for most of us it is daunting, but really, it just takes practice to build up your confidence and talking style".

There will be an opportunity to ask Kevin questions and also time set aside to network with other technicians at the event. If you would like to register for a place please go to the form below.

Drinks and Cakes will be provided and please feel free to bring your own lunch.

This TechNet event is open to all; technicians, researchers, admin staff, technical managers, HR personnel, staff development, teaching staff and anybody who has an interest in the technical community.
