This could include providing safer and more efficient transport via driverless cars, intelligent healthcare via medical robotics, and keeping humans safe by performing critical tasks. Come and see if this could be the right course for you.

An Introduction to Brain-computer Interfaces and Operating Robots
Mechatronic and Robotic Engineering can transform our world. This could include providing safer and more efficient transport via driverless cars, intelligent healthcare via medical robotics, and keeping humans safe by performing critical tasks.
On this Taster Day, you will find out what it is like to be an undergraduate Engineering student, learning both theory and practice in our Engineering Diamond Building. You will also hear from Mahnaz, one of our lecturers in the department, who will explore with you one area of how Engineers can apply their knowledge to the monitoring and enhancing of physical and mental health in the morning, then you will take part in an interactive laboratory session applying that knowledge in the afternoon. There will also be a chance to quiz current students on their experiences of applying and studying here, along with academics from the department.
Please note, for this session long hair should be tied back and loose garments should be tucked in where possible.
When: Thursday 23rd February 2023, 10am - 15.45pm
