Our close links with industry help us to make sure our planning courses are up-to-the-minute and relevant – you'll gain have the right skills and knowledge to go all the way. You'll have access to our illustrious Alumni, who will actively support your career development. Many offer work placements, return to the Department to give talks to students and are members of our liason board. Some provide seminars in partnership with us on cutting edge planning related topics and work with us to arrange student exchange programmes.



Placements form a compulsory part of the 4 year MPlan Urban Studies and Planning course and is an optional component the in MSc Urban and Regional Planning course. There are also placement opportunities for other students outside these courses. We have a dedicated Placement team within the department who work closely with the central Careers Service, in order to help find the right placement for you.
