Our degrees are designed with your career in mind. Your project work will blend the local and the global. It brings you into contact with real issues concerning nearby developments and communities. Your employablity after graduation is of paramount importance to us.
We have people in the Department who are dedicated in offering you all the support you need. Our Placements, Employability and External Relations Manager, Amy Woolley will focus on enhancing your employability and will manage and develop a work placement for you. We also have Ally Lu our International Teaching Associate who is currently developing international work placement opportunities.
We have a graduate network on LinkedIn where we post graduate job opportunities and you can meet other graduates.
Our close links with industry help us to make sure our planning courses are up-to-the-minute and relevant – you'll gain have the right skills and knowledge to go all the way. You'll have access to our illustrious Alumni, who will actively support your career development. Many offer work placements, return to the Department to give talks to students and are members of our liason board. Some provide seminars in partnership with us on cutting edge planning related topics and work with us to arrange student exchange programmes.
Placements form a compulsory part of the 4 year MPlan Urban Studies and Planning course and is an optional component the in MA Town and Regional Planning course. There are also placement opportunities for other students outside these courses.Further information>
