Project:

June 2014 - March 2015

This collaboration between the University of Sheffield and Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council will provide a detailed understanding of the housing requirement in Rotherham and its relation to the wider city region. The research will assess the current and future levels of market housing and affordable housing requirement in the borough, as well as exploring a range of questions to support the work of planners.

The views of over 1,500 of the borough’s residents will be gathered through a postal survey to understand their perspective of the level of housing need and the challenges and opportunities facing housing in the borough.
