Choosing your course

Making your choice

We understand that choosing a course and a university can be daunting. You may be in the position of holding offers from a number of universities and courses.

Attending our Open Days will help you decide.

If you have any questions on any aspect of our courses or the offer that has been made to you, please feel free to contact us. We will be happy to help.

You should make your choice of course through UCAS by logging into your personal account on UCAS Track.

All applicants who are holding an offer of a place to study at Sheffield will be sent a copy of our 'Home From Home' booklet, containing details of University accommodation. If you have not received one, please let us know and we will be only too happy to ensure that one is sent to you. You can also visit the Accommodation web pages where you can download a copy of 'Home From Home' and find other useful information.

If you have accepted an offer of a place to study, you will automatically be sent information about how to apply for accommodation.

Student Finance

Applicants will need to ensure that they have made arrangements with their funder, Local Education Authority, or relevant student finance body for the payment of fees and the arrangement of any financial support. The Finance web pages have more information.

If you are applying for student finance from Student Finance England (SFE) please note the following: Applicants to the MPlan Urban Studies and Planning course (UCAS code K400) should ensure that they select the correct course. Searching on the SFE website by course code will normally only show the 3 year course. To find the 4 year Urban Studies & Planning course, you must search by using the keyword `urbanĀ“ and not by using the course code K400. We are aware of this issue and are working with our partners to rectify this problem.

Tuition Fees

Course fees can vary from year to year. For more information please see the central tuition fee pages.
