Staff Cricket Club

Our weekly league fixtures continue every Saturday until 8th September. All forthcoming fixtures can be viewed here

General enquiries email Richard Ward,

The Staff Cricket Club (CC) started the season with convincing wins for both the 1st and 2nd XIs; a great start to promotion challenges in both Divisions 2 and 4 of the Yorkshire and Derbyshire Cricket League.

The Club is always on the lookout for new players. We presently run three outdoor teams. Competitive league matches take place in a 46 overs per side format on Saturdays. There are also regular 40 overs per side Sunday friendly fixtures throughout the summer.

We pride ourselves on being a diverse club of staff, students, family members of staff, alumni and Sheffielders from a wide variety of backgrounds. You can be sure that we will make you feel very welcome. Both men and women cricketers are welcome and we have often fielded mixed sides.

A number of undergraduate and postgraduate students play for the Staff CC. For students who have a home cricket club in England and Wales, we can easily sort out dual registration with home cricket clubs for ease of participation whilst in Sheffield.

Spectators are always welcome.

Best wishes,
Richard Ward
