Royal Academy of Engineering 11th Annual Regional Public Lecture

Friction and Where Our Energy Ends Up (It's all going on at Engineering Surfaces)

Regretably, due to illness, Professor Anne Neville FREng is now unable to give the Royal Academy of Engineering Lecture, which was to be entitled Nature and Nano - It's All Going On at Engineering Surfaces. However, we have managed to secure Professor Rob Dwyer-Joyce, Professor of Lubrication Engineering (and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering) at the University of Sheffield.

Professor Dwyer-Joyce is familiar with Professor Neville's work and will try to tie in a little with her topic.

Wednesday 23 March, 6.00pm

Firth Hall, Firth Court, Western Bank, S10 2TN

The lecture will be followed by a poster competition and drinks reception, which will celebrate engineering research being undertaken by early career researchers. This will take place in The Common Room, Level 5, University House (across the road from the lecture). Prizes will be awarded to the winners of the poster competition at 8.00 pm.
