The BNBR Life Centre ran a vigil on the Students’ Union concourse during the COP27 global climate summit in Egypt. Our two big banners, and our washing machine, with the word ‘Greenwash’ spilling out of it, certainly drew attention. We engaged in many conversations about climate grief, standing in solidarity, and daring to hope together.
Many people at this university are concerned about the climate, and quite a few are actually working in related areas, but most of them do not know about the others, and feel isolated. That’s why we initiated a new staff / student climate emergency network – please sign up for it, and be part of it.
