Training and development opportunities
Work in Progress (WiP)
Work in Progress (WiP) provides an informal and friendly environment for School of English postgraduate students to present their current work, and to receive feedback. It also gives you the opportunity to hear what your fellow postgraduates are working on. WiP is open to all postgraduate students within the School of English. Follow Work in Progress on Twitter for meeting details and other updates.
Doctoral Development Programme (DDP)
The Doctoral Development Programme (DDP) is a flexible training plan for all doctoral researchers. It helps you progress through your research studies by identifying your existing skills and providing opportunities to further develop your skills and experience. About the Doctoral Development Programme (DDP).
Postgraduate committees
The Postgraduate Committee is a representative student committee within the Students’ Union, which aims to specifically support and represent postgraduate students in both the Students' Union and the University.
We also have our own staff-student postgraduate committee here in the School of English. To find out who your representative is and how you can get involved, check the "Student Staff Committee" section on Blackboard, or the noticeboard on Level 5 of Jessop West.
